Hi, I'm Hillary

I have a tendency to introduce myself as a baby author. I'm new to this game but I'm an old hat at storytelling. I grew up believing in the power of imagination and boredom for creating new things. If I ever lacked for something to do, it was my job to get creative and fill that time. I loved it.

My heart still fosters that belief. If ever I'm missing my muse, it's time to go stare at the stars or pluck the petals of a daisy and let my mind wander. That's when it travels new paths, finding its way to the tangled end of a new creation.

My Story

I have many literary heroes. As the years have passed those heroes grow more daring and more realistic. While I love, really and truly love, the likes of Harry Potter and Percy Jackson

My first mysteries have been written with my mother fictionalized as the main character. They say write what you know and I feel like when you write your mother it's the best and worst of that situation. I do my best to write honestly about her and the company she works for but I also tiptoe a bit making a story that represents her well. It's been an adventure I'm excited to continue as I write more of her stories and other mystery series.

Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys were I have always had a strong love of a cozy mystery. Something you can cozy up to the fire with and get sucked into while you route for the heroine or hero and celebrate as the pages close and everyone is happy and safe. So I was thrilled to jump into creating this new kind of story.
